WFF Scholarships

Annual Scholarships Promote Life-long Learning

The WFF awards annual scholarships to recognize high-potential leaders throughout the industry for their hard work and dedication. And to support their future development and success. We have partnered with industry-leading organizations to provide career advancement opportunities for future leaders.

WFF Sewell Scholars Award

The WFF, partnering with Sysco Corporation present the WFF Sewell Scholars Award in honor of Phyllis Shapiro Sewell, a former Sysco board member and champion of women’s rights in the workplace. Ms. Sewell had an extraordinary business career and is an outstanding example of what emerging executives can achieve. As Sysco is an ardent supporter of high-level, content-based leadership development, they honor Ms. Sewell’s legacy by annually funding a female emerging executive to attend the WFF Executive Leadership Program in partnership with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Each scholarship recipient receives a $15,000 grant that allows her to attend WFF’s Annual Leadership Development Conference and Executive Summit, as well as campus sessions at the Kellogg School of Management. Aspiring female leaders from all disciplines within the foodservice industry who are enthusiastic about further developing their business and leadership skills are encouraged to apply.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2012 Sewell Scholarship through February 15, 2012. For more information about the Sewell Scholarship, email scholarships@womensfoodserviceforum.com .
